Competition designs for the Palais Garnier (Opera de Paris), Place de l'Opera, Paris: plan

NOTES: The two-stage competition was announced on 30 December 1860 and entrants had a month to submit their designs. It is not clear whether Barry submitted these designs. Charles Garnier was one of the five architects who were selected to go to the second stage and emerged the winner, his building opening in 1875.
