Competition designs for the Assize Courts, Bristol (design A): sections showing proposed new roof to Guildhall Court for light and ventilation

NOTES: Godwin & Crisp submitted three designs for the Assize Courts competition in 1866, all three of which won prizes. This drawing is from the 1st prize-winning scheme, motto 'Ten hundred and sixty six'. None of these designs were built as another competition ensued where a further design submitted by Godwin & Crisp won second place.
