NOTES: Webber won the competition for this art gallery and museum which was also to be a memorial to the casualties of the First World War at the young age of 29. However, the scheme was never built owing to post-war financial difficulties including the Great Depression. Webber exhibited his winning design at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in 1926 (number 1106).
