NOTES: This farmhouse which probably dates from the 19th century or earlier, was adopted by Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant in 1916 as their country retreat. It became a hub for the Bloomsbury circle and together with other artists they decorated the walls, doors and furniture between 1916-1939.
