NOTES: John Sanderson commissioned Newton to extend and redecorate his house, Bullers Wood, which had been built in the mid 19th century. Newton extended the house to the east and west, constructing bays with mullioned windows and refacing the building with red brick. The interiors were redesigned and decorated by William Morris.
